Joel Brinkley and Richard Falk
At least Joel Brinkley is angry. He covered so much of Israeli brutal practices against the Palestinians and he never once got angry. Now he begins the article with a quotation by Richard Falk: as much as I detest conspiracy theories about Sep. 11, as impatient as I am with those who promote those theories, the citation provided does not prove his point. Falk is saying that many Americans believe in this conspiracy theory but he did not say--not in the passage cited--that he himself believes in it. It is undeniable that many Americans believe in this, and I never give a talk on a US college campus without encountering at least one member of the audience who wants to preach such theories.
