Are you kidding me? Saudi Objectivity?
I was reading tomorrow's Arabic newspaper. There was a clear trend: Saudi columnists (and other Arab columnists in Saudi-financed media--some 90 % of Arab media) received their marching orders regarding the Shoe Affair. If you doubted the presence of a central Saudi-Israeli-US conspiracy (with its propaganda co-ordinated plan) in our region (personally, I never doubted it), you can dispel the doubt. They all wrote the same things and used the same words. Basically, they said that what the Iraqi journalist has done clashes with "journalistic objectivity" and that it was not a "civilized behavior." Objectivity? From the propaganda outlets of House of Saud? They now want to teach us about objectivity? Are they objective in not covering the bribery scandal of Prince Bandar bin Bribe? Civilized behavior? Those are the newspapers that championed Saddam and his tyranny up to 1990, and who also championed Bin Ladenite Islamic fanaticism up until 2001. They support a kingdom that still pratices regular beheadings in public square and still stones lovers and they want to preach about civilized behavior? Are you kidding me?
