Visa story: "I regularly read your blog and i've been following up with your "Syrian Boarder" stories recently. I'm a Palestinian, carrying a Jordanian passport (yeah its just a black book to me) but i never thought this small thing can make such a big difference. Yesterday, I was crossing the Lebanese boarder (back from Amman to Beirut). I was filling out the white entry card the officer gave me with 2 other Palestinian guys (Lebanese/ Palestinian refugee brown books in hand) when they were directly ordered by the officer to step outside to fill the card while it was okay for me (the "Jordanian") to fill it inside (!). The 2 men muttered a couple of prayers and stepped outside..I stared at him for a good 10 minutes before proceeding. I'm attaching my personal blog entry from the Syrian boarder (i wrote it while waiting at the boarder last July). You can use my first name if you decide to post any."
