Lebanese Jews. New TV aired a sensitive report on Lebanese Jews, and it spoke about the public hostility to Jews qua Jews due to conflation between Zionism and Judaism in the minds of some (of course, the State of Israel by promoting itself as the official representative of world Jewry only aided that conflation). The report interviewed one Lebanese Jewish woman (out of tens who remain in Lebanon) and she spoke about her experience. One Lebanese Jewish man I knew when I was in Lebanon prior to 1983 told me that the Lebanese Jews felt protected (by the PLO) up until Israeli invasion of 1982. After the Israeli invasion, the occupying army basically rounded up Lebanese Jews to take them to Israel. Some were offended and refused to go, and had to explain that they don't feel Israeli and they feel Lebanese. The Lebanese Jewish woman interviewed in the report explained how the Hariri family (through the lousy Solidaire project) stole her property and refused to compensate her (other owners in downtown Beirut were given (unfair) compensation). She said that her family also owned a building that was confiscated by nuns.
