With great fanfare (fanfare is one of those words we use in English that are etymologically Arabic (from Al-Farfarah), the US embassy in Lebanon announced the delivery to 180 odd cars to the Lebanese Security services (the Hariri militia in Lebanon). The pro-US media (LBC and Hariri TV) stressed that the cars are equipped with the most advanced hi tech imaginable: they said that the cars have loudspeakers and sirens. The model of the cars is Dodge Charger. Do they still make those cars in the US? The chief of the Lebanese Internal Security said that the cars will help impose security in the capital. I am sure. In fact: the cars will deter the next Israeli invasion of Lebanon too. Look at them.
