Hassan Fattah's coverage of Dubai. "Dozens of teachers in the UAE staged a sit-in yesterday to protest their transfer from teaching posts because of what they said were their Islamist views. "Nobody has explained to us the reason behind our removal from our jobs, but it is known that ... our embracing of some of the principles of the Muslim Brotherhood is held against us," protester Salem Al Teneiji said." So I read this news item about a sit-in in Dubai, and wanted to see if Hassan Fattah's newspaper (on behalf of the Dubai's ruling dynasty) will cover it, and I found this: ""Government inspections of Dubai schools beginning in October will help school principals and teachers by offering vital external assessments that will enable them to improve standards, head teachers say." And I found this: "First lady aims to learn from UAE" and this: "Imams promote moderation." But please: don't mock the paper; it is modeled after Rodong Sinmun (Labour Daily) - organ of the North Korean Workers' Party.
