"Shimon Peres said it would be a "tragedy" if Lebanon reverted to civil war." This must be the most audacious propaganda trash that I read all day, and I consume plenty of media trash daily. This is from the same man who was Minister of Defense of his occupation country who ordered fighter jets to bomb refugee camps and civilian neighborhoods in Lebanon early in the civil war. This is the same man who was in the government that was funding and arming the right-wing militias of the Lebanese Forces (you may call them the executioners of Sabra and Shatila--it is their claim to fame). He was the man who set up the nucleus of the South Lebanon Army: which established new records of torture in the Middle East.
