Lebanonese fruits and vegetables. I saw a report the other day on a Lebanese TV channel (I think it was New TV). It was about that fruit with the big seeds that is grown in the Zahrani area. We call it Iki Dini. I had heard that you can buy it in some Asian food stores. Talal tells me that Iki Dini is in fact grown in China and in...California and is known as Loquat. The Lebanese TV report said that it was exclusive to Lebanon. In other news, I was quite pleased that the intro to the evening news broadcast of New TV two days ago criticized Qatar for hosting the Israeli occupation foreign minister. I was pleasantly surprised given the close ties between the owner of the station (Tahsin Khayyat) and the Qatari government.
