The Lebanonese complex vis-a-vis the "White Man" is so deep that journalists ask any "white man" about his views on Lebanon. An-Nahar asked (on its front page) Francis Fukuyama for his views...ON LEBANON for potato's sake. Lebanon, for potato's sake. What does he know about Lebanon? Mr. Fukuyama advised the Lebanese to "co-exist". When the Lebanese heard of the advice: they took to the streets, Sunnis, Shi`ites, Druzes, and Christians and while holding hands they chanted: With Spirits, with blood, we shall sacrifice ourselves for you, o Fukayama. Asking Fukayama about Lebanon is like asking me about Mongolia. Oh, I call on the Mongolian people to coexist.
