"The 72-year-old Tibetan leader's dilemma was clear Sunday as he spoke to reporters, reiterating his commitment to nonviolence but at the same time refusing to condemn the violent protests inside Tibet." It is very simple. You are not expected nor required to condemn violence when it is perpetrated by non-Arabs or non-Muslims. This same dude has no problem in condemning Palestinian violence.
