When Arab journalists--many many of them, including Muhammad Hasanayn Haykal and Saudi clumnists--refer to an article in an American publication (whether it is Newsweek or National Inquirer) they never refer to it as "an article." It is always a "report". Listen to the champion of House of Saud, Samir `Atallah, talk about a "report" in Atlantic Monthly. I have to go: I need to read "a report" in People magazine.
