Syrianese? Oh, no. So I was flipping channels, and caught Syrian TV. Let me say that the look has improved substantially, and the animation and graphics look less like claymation. But there was a glimpse of a new show, called "Success Story." It appeared like those silly Lebanese shows on Lebanese geniuses. I am expecting to watch a show on a Syrian genius who--like Lebanese geniuses--just "invented" a cure for cancer. So the first show dealt with this scientist who tells us that he was "the first and only" scientist to receive a state doctorate from Germany and to finish it in four...months (watch. LBC-TV will soon claim that a Lebanese scientist earned that same degree in four...days). He also said that one of his students was awarded "the Einstein award" for science. Well, I am not prone to bragging, but I received the same Einstein award 2 years ago for my reckless driving (of course, I put an end to reckless driving when I read Queen Rania`s article against reckless driving).
