Samah Idris on Fakhri Karim (who sued Samah Idriss and Al-Adab because he said--I kid you not--Samah crossed the bounds of "permissible criticisms.") Karim is doing the rounds on Saudi media and, using the methods of yellow journalism, threatens to reveal "documents" about Arab intellectuals receiving money from Saddam. I say, of course, publish what you have NOW. Why the delay unless one is engaging in blackmail or worse? Also, on the show on Al-Arabiya, Karim accused all his critics of receiving information from Saddam's intelligence service. He rightly attacked those Arab writers and journalists who received money from Saddamist Ba`thism and yet admitted--on the same show--that he used to receive support from Asadist (Syrian) Ba`thism).
