As many of you know, there are many things I detest about Lebanon although I have the utmost respect for the Lebanese ability to "invent" cures for cancer on weekly basis. But one of the most annoying things about Lebanon in my eyes is the new tradition whereby the clerical councils of Sunni, Shi`ites, and Maronites meet once a month and issue a long statement on various issues in Lebanon and around the world. This was started by the Maronite Bishops' councils, and Sunnis and Shi`ites followed suits. If it were in my hands, I would put members of those councils on a ship and.....
