Syrian dissidents who write in Hariri rag, Al-Mustaqbal: do you happen to notice the blatantly racist references to Syrian people in that paper (especially in the crime page), or do you not care? I have no respect for any Syrian dissident who writes in An-Nahar or Al-Mustaqbal. This is akin to seeking support for the Palestinians from...Nazis. Don't get me wrong: I am all for opposing, nay overthrowing, the Syrian regime but if you have no sensitivity to racism against the Syrian people in such lousy media, you don't deserve my support (I am responding here to one such Syrian dissident who wrote to me asking that I write in their support).
