The Syrian Communist Action Party (formerly Communist Action League which lead a campaign of guerrilla warfare against the regime in the 1970s and 1980s, and which is predominantly `Alawite in composition which led the regime to utilize extra torture against its members) decided to withdraw from the Damascus Declaration. This is a dissident group with integrity.
