Arab Zionists at An-Nahar. You have to read the interview with Norman Finkelstein in An-Nahar. The New Republic would have been less obnoxious and insulting. But my favorite is this: the reporter, `Ali Baradah--whoever he is--asks Norman this question: "Why don't you confine yourself to being a [social] scientist without being an activist, and brining all those troubles and difficulties [on yourself], like what you faced recently in Columbia in New York"? Basically, the reporter is asking him this: Why do you have beliefs and principles, and why don't you become like the unprincipled and vapid person that I am who is willing to offer the opinions that are expected of me by the publisher, and why don't you become a silly right-wing hack like me? (thanks As`ad--not me).
PS Norman should have ended the interview after the first question.
