Both Hamas and Fath have disqualified themselves from leading the Palestinian national movement. And Islamic Jihad is too religiously kooky. These are worse, much worse, than Ahmad Shuqayri. At least Shuqayri, who was an opportunistic buffoon, was a colorful character with excellent oratorical and writing skills.
