The New York Times is neutral after all: "What should the newspaper call the security system that Israel says it is building to separate its citizens from Palestinian territories? Is it a fence, with its neighborly connotations, as supporters of Israel want? Or is it a wall, like the Berlin Wall, as Palestinian supporters would have it? The Times has opted for barrier, a more neutral word that pleases neither side."
