Pro-Hamas bias of Al-Jazeera. Let me first start by saying that Al-Arabiya TV (a propaganda outlet created by House of Saud to further the aims of Bush Doctrine) is far more biased in favor of Dahlan gangs than Al-Jazeera TV is in favor of Hamas. But yesterday, the bias of AlJazeera TV (Arabic) was quite blatant. While Al-Arabiya TV was playing extensively all day the news of 1) a Hamas member who claimed on Fath TV that he cooperated with Israeli intelligence; 2) the news of the wedding in Gaza that was disrupted by Hamas' Executive Force. Of course, Al-Arabiya TV played both stories to the hilt. I don't know about the case of Mu'ayyad Bani `Awdah who claimed that he was blackmailed by Israel but AlJazeera could not ignore the story altogether, at least as a propaganda story by Fath. The story was funny in that there was fake outrage by Fath. If the fellow was truly a collaborator with Israel, he would have been appointed national security adviser of Abu Mazen. And what was AlArabiya trying to claim? That there are no collaborators among Fath? Unfortunately, Israel through a variety of dirty and nefarious methods, has succeeded in infiltrating many Palestinian organizations (Fath has been a well-known den of Israeli collaborators over the years. We should know a count of all Arafat bodyguards who were executed over the years on that charge alone). And the story of the wedding should have at least been explored by AlJazeera. Instead, AlJazeera TV (as if deliberately) was covering extensively the story of Morocco-Polisario as if to deliberately ignore the Hamas story.
