When the history books are written it will be noted that Grand (not at all) Ayatullah Sistani bears a primary responsibility for providing political and religious cover to the American occupation and devastation of Iraq and for cheap sectarian purposes. I don't get it that we should view Sistani as less bad than, say, Ahmad Chalabi.
