To Nicholas Noe: I was rather surprised to see your piece in the NYT today. My advice to all is this: if you have a piece accepted in the NYT ask yourself this: where did I go wrong? Question their motives AND yours. Now Nicholas: I never knew that you are now offering free advice to Israel on how to defeat and disarm its enemies. Do you do that out of pure benevolence? Also, I particularly enjoyed your reference to Israeli violations of Lebanese airspace as "arguably unnecessary." Arguably unnecessary? Would you also refer to Israeli destruction of villages as "arguably unnecessary"? What about the Nazi invasion of Poland? Was that also "arguably unnecessary"? Nicholas: as I was reading the article I was expecting you to drift into a discussion of "offshoots."?
