Is it not classist and elitist for people to express surprise that doctors were involved in the heinous terrorist plot in UK? I mean, why would you expect doctors or professionals to be less susciptable to kooky or violent ideologies than others who are less educated? Education does not necessarily means wisdom or goodness. Remember the Nazi doctors, and Ayman Dhawahiri did "well" in medical school. And remember also the University of Chicago economists who advised Pinochet. The list is too long.
PS Wait. The father of the Jordanian doctor spoke to AlJazeera (Arabic). He said that there is no way on earth that his son can be guilty. Why? Well, he explained that his son has been getting very high grades, and that he always excelled in school. Only people with low grades are guilty, I guess.
