Franji Braji. In Dubai airport, there is a food eatery. I looked at the sign, and it listed all sorts of cuisine: the usual ones that you see in the US, like Round Table Pizza, etc. When I went inside, I discovered that there is in fact a Lebanese restaurant but it does not appear among the restaurants on the sign. It is that attitude that we have in Lebanon where what is (western) foreigner is considered fancy and nice. The proverb that came to mind is "franji branji" (literally, Francish (which is the name that Arabs used to refer to Europeans from the time of crusades) is branji (I don't know the word branji but it is used here to mean nice. It must be a Turkish word, probably brenci or branci.)
