Don't cry for him, Phoenicia. Michael Husayn Young is very disappointed and hurt: "For those of us who thought that the ousting of a tyrant like Saddam Hussein might usher in an era of pluralist change in the region, the disappointment is doubly felt." He is pleading with the American occupation to not leave him alone in the Arab wilderness. I never knew that Young considered himself Arab until I read this piece. In the last article I read by him, he was giving orders to the US government. In this one, he gives orders to the UN Security Council. (Notice that he says not one word against Israel. But then again; would that not cause him to lose his US media access?) (thanks Manar)
