They Bomb the people, but they save their donkeys and dogs. Update on the Washington Post's correspondent, Pamela Constable, who wrote the colonial feminist piece below. An American correspondent in Afghanistan sent me more information about her work. The message said--among other things: "it was Pamela Constable - who also regularly saves afghan donkeys apparently - who asked [somebody] to find the [abandoned] dogs. imagine, in the middle of a war, with taliban controlling the area, she asked him to find afghans to risk their lives and enter helmand to get some dogs for an american military guy....so [x] says to me: they can't save the people, so they save the animals."
