Apparently, as soon as the bomb went off in `Alay tonight, demonstrators (while chanting pro-Jumblat slogans) chased Syrian workers and beat them up. This is another form of Lebanese nationalism (another form being shelling indiscriminately Palestinian refugee camps--it always makes Lebanese proud--the same pride that many Lebanese feel when they read almost monthly in An-Nahar that a Lebanese scientist has "invented" a cure for cancer.)
