Worse than Fisk offering comments on Arab culture is his pontification on Arabic language: "Seqina means an almost religious calmness." First, it is Sakinah, not seqina--It took me several minutes to realize what he is driving at. Secondly, there is nothing religious about the word whatsoever, but note that Western journalists always want to infuse words in Arabic with some hidden religious meaning. Since Fisk does not know Arabic, why does he not bother to ask Abed? Abed can help.
