The Lebanese opposition is running silly TV ads to counter the silly ads by March 14th Movement (produced by Saatchi and Saatchi). One of them (by the opposition, mind you) has a slogan of "I--not me of course--Love Lebanon." It then give examples: I love Fayruz, Tabbulah--kid you not--Wadi` Safi, etc and then it mentions Sa`id `Aql. Sa`id `Aql: one of the most notable of the fascist voices in Lebanon. Do you now see what I do NOT support the opposition in Lebanon? If there is an independent Leftist opposition in Lebanon, I would have lent my support. But the Lebanese Communist Party is sleeping.
