The leader of the Progressive Socialist Party in Lebanon, Walid Jumblat, gave an interview to LBC-TV from Washington, DC. He said that he stressed to Bush the need for preserving the "free enterprise system" in Lebanon. I kid you not. Later, Jumblat--who is considered an expert on the West in Lebanonese media, met with Sen. Lieberman (Independent--Connecticut). He told Lebanese media that it is important for the leaders of March 14th to establish links with "leaders of the Democratic Party."
