And then you read this: "American officials emphasize that a new sense of coordinated aggressiveness on the part of insurgents toward attacking aircraft, or even luck, may be playing as large a role in the high pace of crashes as improved skill and tactics among insurgents." Luck? Is this how they explain such developments? And why is "luck" so relevant in this particular time? Unless they are implying that this has to do with the alignment of the stars with the moon. Please elaborate, o luck experts of the New York Times and US officials.
