From Isma`il Haniyyah's speech in Mecca (BBC version): "I want to extend the gratitude offered by brother Abu-Mazin [Mahmud Abbas] and my dear brother Abu-al-Walid [Khalid Mish'al], by offering further gratitude and appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for this blessed and generous invitation and initiative. This is an indication that Palestine is not only a Palestinian concern, but also a concern to the Arab and Muslim nation. Any harm that hits Palestine will in turn affect these [Arab and Muslim] capitals in one way or another. We ask God to credit him [Saudi King Abdallah] for his actions, and make this a good beginning for a new dawn and a new page in inter-Palestinian relations." (thanks Jon)
