Amazing. What does that say? It says something very unflattering about Lebanon, but An-Nahar and LBC-TV will take it as a sign of "international love for Lebanon." The UN Security Council issued a press release condemning the bombing in Lebanon. Why does the council not miss an opportunity to exploit the dangerous developments in Lebanon, and to politicize them? Is the legacy of John Bolton? Will the US ever learn that exploiting Lebanese conflicts is a very dangerous game--dangerous for US and for Lebanon? Were the lessons of 1958 and 1984 not sufficient? As if there are not enough conflicts and tensions in Lebanon. The Security Council did not issue a press release, to my knowledge, condemning Al-Qa`idah's horrific bombings in Algeria, or the daily bombings in Iraq, or the shooting at a mall in Salt Lake city.
