Our Children...and "Their Children." Raymond Jbara (a dramatist from Lebanonesia) often writes sexist, racist, and sectarian articles but in the culture industry of the country, he is considered a "liberal." Nobody has reacted in the Lebanese press to this particularly sectarian piece; he says: "Our children and grandchildren did not come by accident, or just to increase numbers. But they came from a blessing from God." He wrote this in Mulhaq An-Nahar--considered the most liberal arm of the right-wing, sectarian Christian media house of An-Nahar.
