I was rather sad and very disappointed to read this tribute to Saddam by `Abdul-Ilah Balqaziz. Balqaziz is one of the most interesting and sophisticated intellectuals. He is one of those who travels easily and interestingly between Arab/Islamic thought and Western thought. Here, he reveals himself to be a Saddamist. Unbecoming.
