Bush "still insisted that Iraqis should be grateful to America for starting the war." He is right, if you think about it. I mean, why should the Iraqis not be grateful for all the killing and devastation that Bush brought to their country? In fact, Kanan Makiyya has already thanked America but he may not think that America brought enough killing and devastation to Iraq. In fact, in the early days of the war, he did not think that the US was bombing sufficiently ferociously in Iraq, and urged the bombing of Iraq's TV station (and I don't remember hearing that the Committee to Protect Journalists protested).
