When sectarian war criminals become defenders of "human rights." A delegation from the Socialist International--what a joke that organization--visited Walid Jumblat, the notorious sectarian warlord, inheritor of a medieval family of landlord, and the manager of the sectarian massacres of the War of the Mountains (which was triggered by his current ally Samir Ja`ja` (Ga`ga` in Egyptian dialect), yesterday in Beirut. After the meeting, the official statement said that the delegation expressed its solidarity with Jumblat "who was and remains the first defender of the causes of freedom, democracy, and human rights in Lebanon and the Arab world." I wish I am making this up as a joke. I am not.
