US Department of State's spokesperson: "We stand firmly with Prime Minister Siniora in his government in standing against those who would, using non-democratic means and with non-democratic motivations, try to undercut Lebanese democracy. That is, we believe, what you're seeing right now....We, of course, have no problem with peaceful expression of differing points of view within a political system, but that's not what you're seeing in Lebanon right now." (What are non-democratic motivations? And what are the non-peaceful expressions?)
