The US ambassador in Lebanon was planning visit the villages of Jibshit and Bir`ashit in South Lebanon to check on teams clearing land mines in South Lebanon. As soon as news reached the region of Nabatiyyah through which the convoy would have to pass, the inhabitants spontaneously took to the streets and chanted against him and against Sanyurah. The visit was promptly canceled. People who were interviewed on NBN pledged to prevent the US ambassador from stepping foot in South Lebanon. In other news, the Bush Doctrine continues to achieve great success in the Middle East.
