There is a new public opinion survey by the Beirut Center. I looked at the detailed breakdowns. I have reached this conclusion: the Sunnis are solidly behind Hariri, only around 15% of Sunnis disagree with the orientations of Hariri Inc. The Shi`ites are totally and completely behind Hizbullah: something like more than 95%. The Druzes are solidly behind Jumblat. And there is evidence that some Christians may have left `Awn--or at least disagree with his current position: but they did not necessarily join the Lebanese Forces. Many probably are with neither, although the Christians are now split along the middle. But `Awn still has the support of at least 50% of the Christians.
