"Robert Fisk: Who's running Lebanon?" (Angry Arab: Abed. Abed (Robert Fisk's driver) is running Lebanon.) You know where Robert Fisk is going with a story when he begins like this: "Some four years before his murder, when he was still Lebanese Prime Minister, Rafiq Hariri angrily told me a story of his struggle with Hizbollah..." He concludes by citing approvingly an article by neo-conservative, Hazim Saghiyyah (who invited Arabs to "internalize" the Bush Doctrine--search the site for the citation), which had more than a tinge of prejudice against Syrians. And his account of Hashshashin is totally off, and his belief that Shi`ites act from an impulse of a cult of death is contradicted by evidence: he needs to read Robert Pape's Dying to Win. Where is Abed when you need him?
