Our "relationship [with Saudi Arabia] is normal, and we hope it will grow." (Hizbullah's deputy secretary-genera, Na`im Qasim). (The little comment by the writer at the end of the interview is quite unusually fawning; it is unbecoming of Al-Akhbar). Also, the efforts to mend fences between Hariri Inc and Hizbullah only reinforces the view that Hizbullah--at least partly--represents an Iranian agenda. What else would explain this after the stance of Hariri Inc during the Israeli war, and the position of its patron, Saudi Arabia. This is why, among other reasons, why leftists should harbor no illusions about Hizbullah.
