American correspondent, Nir Rosen, has written an excellent long article about the battle of `Ayta Ash-Sha`b in South Lebanon during the recent Israeli war on Lebanon. I can't quote from it but it will appear in the next issue of Mother Jones. It is probably the best reporting I have seen on the subject. He may publish a version, or another article, in the Washington Post's Outlook section. I told him that he can turn the piece into a book, and I will hopefully not criticize it like I had criticized his Iraq book.
