This is hilarious. So this New York Times' article operates on the assumption that the King of Saudi Arabia, the Guardian of the Two Things, represents all Sunni Muslims of the Arab world. But as if that assumption is not dumb enough, the article interviews Walid Jumblat to represent Sunni Arab public opinion. I really believe that this all, or in part, boils down to language barrier. If those correspondents know Arabic and watch and read Arab media, they would know what Sunni Arab public opinion think of the King of Saudi Arabia and of Walid Jumblat--if they know who he is of course.
