It makes you angry, as an Arab, to think of how Nasser, the Ba`th, and `Arafat have (mis)manged resistance to Israeli occupation of Arab lands--not to mention the record of the collaborative regimes, of course. `Arafat is particularly blameworthy: here was a Palestinian leader who had at his disposal so much Palestinian and Arab revolutionary energy in the 1960s and 1970s, and he decided to contain it and subvert it. But he managed to send millions to Suha `Arafat, and to arrange for the assassination of Palestinian cartoonist, Naji Al-`Ali.
