I am glad to inform you that the elite fighting force of the Lebanese Army, Al-Mukafahah, was allowed to flee under UN flag from its barracks in Marji`yun. Many of the top fighters of the Lebanese Army were seen sobbing. Some of them were quite distressed that they did not have a chance to perform their patriotic ritual--of shining the shoes of Israeli occupiers, while non-Army Lebanese fight the Israelis.
