Fabrications of Michael Young. Michael Young here says: "In a Christian neighborhood, they clashed with the son of a former president and his comrades." He forgot that some people who read the New York Times know Lebanese politics. He is talking here about a right-wing gang leader: Sami Gemayyel, son of Amin Gemayyel. When the riots took place that night, Sami Gemayyel claimed falsely that he was hit by some of the youths. The Hariri Minister of Interior (who is aligned with Amin Gemayyel) issued a statement that night in which he stated that Sami Gemayyel's claims were false, and that he did not even encounter the youths who were rioting. The next day, New TV found footage which showed that Sami Gemayyel did not clash with the rioters, but in fact stormed into a checkpoint of Lebanese security forces, where he was slightly bruised. Just the facts, o Michael Young. Oh, are you planning some articles about offshoots? Thanks.
