"One strike, at the village of Srifa near the frontier, tore apart several houses, killing at least 12 Lebanese, including several children, Lebanese officials told local reporters. The Srifa mayor, Afif Najdi, qualified the attack as a "massacre," according to the Reuters news agency. Officials at Srifa said more bodies were likely to be found as rescue workers dig through the rubble, raising the death toll to as high as 17. More than 25 other people were killed in other attacks cross the southern border zone, officials reported."
