Israel and the US don't realize this: that the attacks on Lebanon, and the targeting of Hizbullah will eventually undermine the very forces and groups that US and France are propping up in Lebanon. And if Israel targets Hizbullah leaders, revenge and counter revenge, and without even orders by Hizbullah leaders, will affect the status of the allies and clients of US/France. Revenge will likely take place in Lebanon. But this has been the predictable path of Israel and US in the Middle East: they always produce results that are contrary to their intentions. I lived, and barely survived, the Israeli invasion of 1982--that invasion produced Hizbullah after all.
