I restrict my consumption of US media to print media--and I read US newspapers like homework, just as I read Saudi Arabic newspapers. I only am following Arab TV stations. But I listened to some BBC News TV on my satellite radio while driving. It was certainly better than anything I have seen in the Arabic press. And Jim Muir is in Tyre covering the story of the refugees. Do you remember Jim Muir's coverage of Lebanon in the 1980s? He knows the place well, and does not get himself into the story with flashy phrases, a la Robert Fisk. They stress that most of the victims of Lebanon have been civilians. I mean how can you deny that, unless you are the Foreign Minister of Israel? He story of "Katushas under the beads" of Lebanese civilians will go down in history as a classic of sinister propaganda.
